How to become a Swimming Technical Official (STO).

Our club relies on volunteers to help run it. All of our coaches are volunteers as are our committee members. In addition to this we require a number of technical officials to enable meets and galas to proceed according to Scottish Swimming regulations.

If your child is selected to swim in galas you will be expected to take part in a timekeepers course.

A number of roles exist within officiating, including timekeeper, recorder, Judge 1, Judge 2, Judge 2S, Referee and Automatic Officiating Equipment (AOE) Operator.

For more information on how to become a technical official visit the Officials section on the Scottish Swimming website.

The Club currently has 24 Timekeepers, 1 Recorder, 2 Judge 1, 2 Judge 2. We also have 1 Judge 2S (starter).

If you fancy becoming a timekeeper/judge 1/recorder, please get in touch with Susan Mathewson.
